Philosophy and Approach to Counseling

Counseling can involve the relief from pain or the urge to grow and explore. The approaches can be different and the responsibilities change depending on the person's ability to steer his or her own life. The method of receiving counseling is radically changing as the pace of life changes and new technologies emerge. It is important to use the method that works the best for the client, and the therapist must be able to use that method ethically and effectively. My practice currently includes writing and publishing only.

Education

• Master's of Science in Counseling from Oregon State University, 1987. Major coursework in: counseling, addictions, and religion & psychology.
