Non-Traditional Medicine

There are many forms of health care that are becoming increasingly popular in the western world. The types that have shown that they can help with insomnia are listed here.

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is an approach to medicine that considers the person to be a whole, integrated system which works best when supported to do its own healing. The Naturopathic physician is trained much like an MD except when it comes to learning about drugs. At that point they will study herbs and other supportive therapies such as nutrition and massage. They are increasingly being accepted and licensed throughout the United States.

Naturopathic physicians will practice some or all of the following modalities:

Clinical Nutrition
Botanical Medicine
Homeopathic Medicine
Physical Medicine
Oriental Medicine
Naturopathic Obstetrics
Psychological Medicine
Minor Surgery
