Evaluation of Sleep Impairment

How bad is your sleep problem? That question is harder to answer than you may think.

Just because you feel bad doesn't mean that you are sleep deprived. Some people who are sleep deprived don't feel awful, and others who are not sleep deprived may feel terrible.

Sometimes people can tell when they are sleep deprived, sometimes they can't. It is hard for people to take it seriously when you don't look impaired, but studies have shown that many people suffer significant impairment and will deny they have any trouble at all.

The basics:

Sleep Impairment

Advanced sleuthing:

Visual Misperception Scale

Cognitive Disorganization Scale

Temporal Disorientation Scale
